Founding Partner and President, Ryan Schriefer started C-U Under Construction in 2003. His focus includes commercial sales, visionary growth, and financial planning. Beginning as a hands-on carpenter, he brings first-hand knowledge to overseeing projects of all sizes. Ryan had the vision to vertically integrate the company with key trades, forging strategic partnerships to make this a reality. Today, he and his partners lead a team of over 100 employees at C-U Under Construction.

Founding managing partner of C-U Under Construction, bringing extensive operational expertise to the construction industry. Before co-founding the company with Ryan Schriefer, he successfully owned and operated a paint and drywall business. As the operational leader of a company with over 100 employees and hundreds of projects annually, Ryan oversees the complex daily logistics required to manage large-scale construction operations. His role demands strategic planning, resource management, and effective leadership of project managers and subcontractors alike, ensuring timely project execution while maintaining high-quality standards. His ability to coordinate multiple teams and streamline processes has been critical to C-U Under Construction’s growth and success.
Managing Partner
Managing Partner and Head of Residential Estimating and Sales at C-U Under Construction, has been with the company since 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Ag Economics (Finance and Management) from the University of Illinois and brings an analytical mindset and commitment to collaboration to the C-U team. His expertise lies in overseeing and refining our estimating process for all projects and continually training with our sales team to improve our clients’ experience.

Managing Partner and Head of the New Construction and Development Division joined C-U Under Construction in 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and State of Illinois Roofing License, bringing a strong combination of financial and technical acumen to the team. His expertise lies in overseeing new builds and development projects.

Managing Partner at C-U Under Construction has been with the company for 12 years. She leads the Human Resources department, playing a key role in hiring and developing the company’s large, skilled team. Mary ensures that the company attracts top talent to support its expanding operations. In addition to her HR leadership, she oversees daily office operations, implementing systems that streamline processes and improve efficiency, enhancing the company’s ability to serve both clients and employees effectively.
